BAGPUSS & CO. is home to the most important, the most beautiful, and the most magical saggy old cloth cat in the whole wide world.
Created by OLIVER POSTGATE & PETER FIRMIN in 1974, ‘BAGPUSS’ topped a poll for the Number #1 Children's Series of the 20th Century (Source: BBC) and told the tale of a group of toys who come to life to repair lost "things" through story, music and song.
Between 1959 and 1985, the partnership of Postgate & Firmin would ultimately create some of Britain's most timeless animated hits: from NOGGIN THE NOG and his tales of the Northlands; to the pink moon-mice of THE CLANGERS; and right through to perhaps their most famous creation, BAGPUSS, who would come to life in the window of an unusual shop that didn't sell anything.
BAGPUSS celebrates his 52nd Birthday in 2026 and 'BAGPUSS & CO.' are brought to SPRING FAIR 2026 for Licensing by new custodians, THREEWISE ENTERTAINMENT.
