That’s a wrap! Spring Fair Highlights
What a show! There was so much to explore at the all-new Spring Fair. From the most inspiring, new products to immersive trend installations and stand-out content, it truly was 5 days of product and trend inspiration. Here’s a recap of some of the ‘Hello New’ initiatives from Spring Fair 2020.
#HelloNew show experience.
2020 marked the launch of a brand-new show experience, designed around 2 buying destinations – Gifts and Home & Living. Gifting took over the Piazza side of the NEC, creating the largest offering of Gifting products in Europe. Home & Living covered the Atrium creating the largest continuous laid out offering of homeware & lifestyle products. This refreshed layout created a seamless shopping experience, creating lots more cross-buying opportunities. Spring Fair had a new look with colourful entrances and carpets and an all-new red-route to navigate the entire show.
#HelloNew Sustainability Trail
Spring Fair 2020 played host to a Sustainability Trail, highlighting brands that are striving to do their part to ensure a more sustainable and ethical future. Visitors could use the downloadable trail document to find the exhibitors taking part or visit the website to explore the sustainability library to understand the environmental, ethical, material considerations our exhibitors were making when creating their products.
Unmissable Content & New Features
There was a fantastic line-up this year with a host of incredible seminars and workshops to educate, excite and inspire. This year we introduced the Design & Source stage that introduced content from Head of Design for Oliver Bonas, Sustainability with The Body Shop and daily Colour, Material and Finish forecast sessions with trend partners Colour Hive. The Retail Skills theatre welcomed practical sessions around social media, visual merchandising and building a brand. The Inspiring Retail stage also welcomed inspirational talks from industry experts including our amazing keynote speakers, Mary Berry and Mary Portas.
Spring Fair 2020 also marked the launch of lots of new areas to chill and recharge. Visitors could visit the Winter Wonderland Café and enjoy a coffee inside an igloo surrounded by polar bears, they could grab a cocktail at the Beauty Bar, or watch live balloon demonstrations at the Party Playground!
