  • Sustainability Role in overall company's strategic plans
Sustainability plays a very important role in our company's plans. Sunlover are very committed to good environmental practice. We are aware that our actions now have a direct impact on future generations and so we continuously strive to ensure we are doing all we can to be environmentally sound.
    Sustainability initiatives
We recycle all our waste cardboard on site to produce materials we can use as packaging. We also take cardboard from other companies around us and recycle this as well.
    Pledges for the year
We are constantly looking at ways to become more sustainable. This year we have moved to a new warehouse and will be focussing our attention on making it as energy efficient as possible. We are looking to install solar panels in order to move onto a renewable energy source.
    Sustainable Products
    Recycled Glass Bowls on Wood
The wood itself comes from off-cuts of the furniture trade that, in former times, used to be destroyed. The glass is made from recycled glass too, meaning that the whole product comes from waste materials.
    Bamboo Chimes
We have a wide range of chimes that are made from bamboo. Bamboo is naturally very fast growing which makes it such a highly sustainable source of material.
    Wooden Soap Dishes
Our wooden soap dishes have been designed to be used alongside our range of hand made soaps. The combination of both helps eliminate the use of single-use plastic soap dispensers.
    AT THE FAIR
    Social equity at your company
We are an accredited Fair Trade company. One of the core principals of Fair Trade is a commitment to non-discrimination, gender equality and freedom of association. We visit all of our suppliers to ensure their working conditions are safe. We also agree all prices directly with them to ensure they receive a fair working wage. These principals are also applied to our UK warehouse.
