Nestled on our farm in the heart of North Cornwall, at St. Eval we sustainably craft high-quality candles and home fragrance with people and the planet at our heart. Born from a love of artisan crafts, we have been perfecting the art and science of sustainable candlemaking for nearly 30 years.

We are committed to treading softly on the Earth, creating beautiful pieces with an emphasis on sustainability. Pioneers of quality, we use a blend of traditional and contemporary methods to ensure each candle is of superior quality in style, fragrance and burn.

As a certified B Corp, we legally embedded our commitment to placing purpose beyond profit in all company endeavours. We are proud of our B Corp certification, alongside our Queen's Award for Enterprise in Sustainable Development, which we were honoured to receive in 2021. Together, these achievements recognise and celebrate our commitment to using business as a force for good.

    We place people and planet at the heart of what we do, and we strive to tread lightly on the planet; respecting, renewing and recycling. This ethos resonates through everything we do at St. Eval and we are always developing new ways to further support this.
    Sustainability initiatives
    We are proud to say that we are close to being carbon neutral, producing our own energy via wind, solar and biomass power and providing electric car charge ports on site. We’ve switched to recyclable cardboard gift boxes for our dinner candles and our soap & lotion gift sets as well as introducing kraft cardboard packaging for diffusers and scented tealights and removing all bubble wrap and similar from our dispatch packaging in our efforts to eliminate single-use plastic. We are proud to be recognised by Surfer’s Against Sewage as a Plastic Free Champion following these efforts. In July 2022, we officially became a certified B Corporation; embedding our commitment to using business as a force for good.
    Sustainable Products
    Coloured Dinner Candles
    Our Dinner Candles are made using our on-site drawing machine, which are powered using the energy we produce ourselves via wind, solar and biomass. Each one is made with cotton wicks and then packaged in recyclable packaging.

    St. Eval is proud to have chartered status as a Mindful Employer, declaring our ongoing commitment to creating a supportive and open culture that supports the wellbeing of staff. We strive to make sure staff feel valued and fairly rewarded with benefits, health and safety training and we are also a living wage employer. We also support initiatives in the local community as well as further afield.
