Shop the latest trends in driftwood and teak root garden furniture, décor and accessories.

At Makasi, we are constantly expanding our range of products to ensure that we can always offer you something truly unique. We have been travelling around the globe for nearly 30 years to maintain close relationships with all our suppliers so that we can personally guarantee the quality and ethical production of our products.

We buy from smaller, family suppliers, helping to support their local communities. Local craftspeople use recycled teak tree roots – this enables the whole tree to be used in the furniture making process, allowing replacement trees to be planted and thereby eliminating waste, creating employment and benefiting the environment. The roots are created into distinctive pieces of teak root driftwood style garden and home furniture, décor, sculptures, home accessories and much more.

    Social equity at your company
Our workers’ health and safety is paramount and is reviewed on an ongoing basis between our Managing Director and local warehouse managers. Any potential issues are dealt with swiftly by local ‘risk assessment’ and ‘identifying hazards’ checks. In the location of our warehouse we are highly involved in the local community, regularly contributing to and getting involved in community ceremonies and functions. Our 40 warehouse employees are all over 20 years old. We provide them with health insurance in the event of an accident at work, paying all associated hospital and medical bills. They receive a 1-month annual salary bonus at Eid Al Fitr, with a total of 28 days paid holiday every year. We buy our products from small, family businesses and we visit them regularly which ensures that good working conditions are maintained. Buying from these smaller businesses contributes to their local economy and community.
