EcoStardust is an award-winning business selling cosmetic biodegradable glitter made from plant cellulose. They sell everything a glitter enthusiast needs to #GlitterWithoutTheLitter including Bioglitter®, Bioglitter® beauty balm, brushes, makeup bags etc. 

The eco-conscious company package their products in recycled or recyclable packaging and offer two types of glitter: Shine and Pure. The Shine range features bold, high shine glitter, is suitable for vegans and biodegrades highly in the natural environment in 5 weeks. The Pure range is 100% plastic and aluminium free giving it a more pearlescent shimmer, is suitable for vegetarians and biodegrades in the natural environment in as little as 4 weeks.

EcoStardust’s mission is to raise awareness of environmental issues through eco glitter while giving back to the world. They donate 10% of profits to environmental charities and bodies and are committed to sustainable living, social responsibility and having minimal impact on the planet.

    Sustainability initiatives
    Everything from our products to how we run our operations in our HQ has the impact of the environment at the forefront of our minds. We aim to do our bit as much as we can to protect the Earth and that is why we donate 10% of our profits to Surfers Against Sewage and City to Sea. We have also been awarded the Environmental Hero award from the Bristol Gold Star Awards 2019 for our efforts in looking after the planet.

    Cosmetic Bioglitter is Certified OK Biodegradable WATER by TÜV means guaranteed biodegradation in a natural, freshwater environment. Bioglitter Pure is Verified Microplastic Free (EU, ECHA Microplastic Proposal, Jan 2019) and Certificated – 100% Biobased Carbon Content (Beta Analytic).

    How we package your orders is important to us. We are committed to only using necessary packaging and using recycled and easily recycled materials. All our glitters now come in a cardboard box made from recycled material, printed with vegetable base inks and finished with a water base varnish. Our ultra lightweight aluminium tins are super light so they don't cost lots to ship meaning we can pass on savings to you, it also means they are easier to travel with. Made from aluminium with a PET (the easiest and most commonly recycled plastic) window. Our green line grip seal bags are also biodegradable!. Once finished with, they can be disposed of in your normal waste bin.

    Our eco glitter is made from non-GMO eucalyptus trees which have been sustainably farmed in Europe. Glitter core based on a special modified regenerated cellulose technology unique to Bioglitter® derived from ethically and sustainably sourced raw materials.

    Our ethical policy has been established to set standards and provide guidelines regarding the way the Company should operate ethically. This is our general approach to doing business. Our ethical policy focuses around nine key areas as follows: - Employees The Company values its Employees as a key resource. An atmosphere of good employee communication, involvement & responsibility both individually & as a team is of central importance. The personal development and optimum use of Employee talent is strongly encouraged Every employee has an equal opportunity for personal recognition and career development, regardless of personal background or belief. No form of discrimination or harassment will be tolerated.     Environmental Policy Statement EcoStardust is committed to leading the industry in minimising the impact of its activities on the environment. The key points of its strategy to achieve this are: ● Minimise waste by evaluating operations and ensuring they are as efficient as possible. ● Minimise toxic emissions through the selection and use of its couriers and the source of its power requirements. ● Actively promote recycling both internally and amongst its customers and suppliers. ● Source and promote a product range to minimise the environmental impact of both production and distribution. ● Meet or exceed all the environmental legislation that relates to the Company.
