Cards for Good Causes, (CFGC) is the trading company of The 1959 Group of Charities, (Registered Charity No 249039) We operate a network of around 300+ pop-up Christmas card shops during the Christmas trading period. CFGC sells cards on behalf of the twenty-five members of The Group (please see below for details) but helps many more charities by selling cards on a guest basis. The aim of CFGC is simple – to offer customers the widest possible choice of charity cards, along with a range of affordable gifts and help the participating charities to raise as much money as possible each year. CFGC pays the participating Charities at least 70p in every pound from their sales. In the last 10 years we have passed back over £40 million to participating charities
The majority of our shops are located within a variety of premises such as churches, libraries, tourist information centres, museums and community centres. To enable CFGC to grow, I believe it’s time we began to set up in more mainstream retail outlets, such as Garden Centres, Department Stores and Independent Retailers, where we can reach a much bigger audience.
CFGC is completely responsible for the equipment and stock needed to operate the shops. Although achieving the maximum return for the charities is our priority, we would expect to express our appreciation in financial terms for space allocated by paying a modest rent.
The Spring Fair offers us an opportunity to showcase CFGC, to potential retail partners.
Come along to Hall 3 Stand 36 and speak to us and see how you can help all these charities.
