  • Sustainability Role in overall company's strategic plans
Sustainability has been a core part of Paraffle since it was founded. We work hard to make sure that each component of our embroidery kits is produced both as sustainably and ethically as possibly, and are always looking to make further improvements.
    Sustainability initiatives
We ensure that all of our fabric is organic and ethically produced by a small family business; and our embroidery hoops are FSC certified and made in the UK. Our packaging and instructions are also FSC certified, and we carbon offset all orders made via our website.
    Pledges for the year
Continuing to be the most sustainable, ethical embroidery kit producer in the UK.
    Social equity at your company
We pay all of our workers above the Scottish Living Wage.
    Materials
We have products made from recycled materials
Our Customise Kits (aimed at upcycling old clothing and textiles) are packaged in envelopes made from recycled T-shirts.
    Ethical Considerations
Fair wages are paid to the people who make our products
Our products are made by people employed in good working conditions
Within the workplace where our products are made there is commitment to Non-Discrimination Gender Equality and Freedom of Association
    Enviromental Impact
We are a carbon neutral company
Our products are created to help consumers try and reduce their carbon footprint
We consider the environmental impact when creating our products
Some of the processes we use to manufacture products are water efficient
