East of India

All of East Of India's products are designed in house and from initial concept to final production we are passionate about every detail. We offer an extensive range of seasonally inspired collections including stationery, ceramics, textiles and handcarved wood, sourced from natural materials.
Our new hand embroidered linen notebooks have beautiful stitched details on them. The art was inspired by our local countryside, paired with linen for a natural look.
Wooden houses, crafted by our artisans in Indonesia who are still using traditional skills that have been passed down through the generations. Each house is hand carved and painted.
Our countryside art feels so warm and homely on our new boxed candles. Designed and printed by our small team in Folkestone, Kent.
Porcelain is our best seller, we've created some flat vases to add to our range of unique vases. Adding dried flowers to these create a woodland scene which we love.
Our wire range has just been extended, with the addition of wire hanging eggs. All our wire is hand twisted by our team in Indonesia who we have been working closely with for over 30 years.
Sustainability Role in overall company's strategic plansSince the beginning we have always been aware of our possible impact on the environment, our eco values are shown through our thoughtful designs of packaging, always using recyclable or compostable materials.Sustainability initiativesFor a number of years we have been involved with a tree planting project in Indonesia, each tree harvested is replaced with another. We are proud to say we are never wasteful, we always reuse boxes from suppliers.Pledges for the yearWe are going to continue into next year with our eco friendly mindset, we are nearly plastic free and we hope to improve on this.Sustainable ProductsPointed flat wooden starOur hand carved hanging star is made from fast growing wood, from a tree called Albizia Falcata which is grown on dry land that cannot be used for rice fields.Small stitched plant notebookAll our notebooks are completely designed and made in house, printed on recycled paper.Strung paper bagsThe whole range of our strung paper bag sets are printed on recycled paper.AT THE FAIRPackagingOur packaging is plastic freeOur packaging is compostableOur packaging is made with recycled contentWe are in the process of making our packaging plastic freeWe are in the process of making our packaging compostableWe are nearly completely plastic free, using up the little plastic packaging we have left from years ago.
