Here at Barrhead Leather our bags are hand-crafted in our workshop using wonderfully supple Scottish deerskin leather, giving them uniqueness in terms of both quality and feel.
Our sustainably sourced leather comes from seasonally culled Scottish deerskins tanned using traditional methods passed down from father to son through seven generations. The soft water from the Levern Burn, which flows beside our small tannery, combines the vegetable tannins and oils in this natural, environmentally responsible, tanning process.
The bags are 100% made in Scotland, from the tanning to the stitching, using some of the very best of Scotland’s natural resources.
